2021-2022 NEFL SEASON

The NEFL 2021-2022 Season for 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u will be open to any teams in the Northeast including Delaware, Maryland, and West Virginia.

Each age group will be all one division with an updated scoring System. Rankings of Teams no longer classified as “Tier 1” or “Tier 2”.  The ELO scoring system will be a continuous scoring system that ranks team based on their game and event results. (See ELO Scoring System section)

Registration – All teams must register thru Alliance to participate in the NEFL.

1.    Register and Pay for your team ($200 annual fee) –  Registers team to play in the NEFL thru Summer 2022 – All events will be a separate registration and payment
2.    Team must register with The Alliance, and have all players and coaches become members. $50 fee per person, and will include USA registration. See Membership Benefits!!

Athletes Go Live –
All teams need to have a team account and roster set up thru Athletes Go Live! This is something we need in order to compile all stats and not have any confusion on team names.  This platform is what we will use to keep league and nationwide stats, stat leaders, player awards, etc.  If teams are not registered and actively scoring their games with AGL then their players will not be eligible for NEFL or Alliance awards.
When scoring a NEFL event in AGL, you must select the AGL event code when scoring and streaming games.

Events -
There is not a set schedule of events that teams need to play in.  Teams need to register and pay for each event they choose to play in.  If an event is unlisted, and an event director would like their event considered as a NEFL endorsed event, then they need to submit the event to the NEFL for consideration to be added to the NEFL schedule. All NEFL events need to be registered thru AGL and provide an AGL event code.
There is no minimum or maximum number of events a team must play in, but note that all NEFL Championship events will be seeded by the ELO rankings.

NEFL Standings – ELO Scoring and Rating System –
The ELO Rating System will constantly determine the NEFL Standings.  We will be using a worldwide system used called the ELO Rating System.  See documents for the ELO Rating System, or simply search for “ELO Rating System”.
The NEFL ELO system will automatically update after each NEFL event, and updated Standings will be available as soon as most previous events and games are loaded into system.
